Silk Road Protein Bites

Ancient dairy,
reimagined for the modern board.

A centuries-old Central Asian tradition — qurut — reborn as bite-size, herb- and spice-coated protein bites. Naturally high-protein, low-carb, and built for the specialty cheese case.

The Heritage

A snack that crossed continents.

For centuries, qurut sustained travelers along the Silk Road — dense, dried, salted dairy that could survive months of desert and mountain crossing. It was the original protein bite: portable, preserved, and packed with nourishment.

Qurut Bites carries that lineage forward. We keep the tradition and the story, and calibrate the salt and acidity for the American palate — roughly 35–40% mellower than traditional qurut — so a centuries-old food finds a modern table.

What It Is

Real dairy. One honest format.

Small, coated dried-dairy balls made from pasteurized U.S. cow's milk — a controlled, mellowed profile designed for how Americans actually snack. The format is the innovation, not a lab ingredient.

01

Naturally functional

High in protein, low in carbs, and shelf-stable — the way the food has always been, no processing gimmicks required.

02

Made in the U.S.

Produced on Grade A pasteurized dairy with an American co-packer — built for retail, not imported novelty.

03

Calibrated palate

Salt and acidity mellowed ~35–40% and blind-tested beyond the diaspora, so the first bite lands for everyone.

The Flavors

Coated by hand, inspired by the route.

Fresh Herb

Garden-bright, everyday

Za'atar

Thyme, sesame, sumac

Chili-Lime

Warm heat, citrus lift

Pistachio & Almond

Toasted, crushed nut

Cracked Pepper

Bold, savory finish

The Shelf

Not the snack aisle. The cheese case.

Cheese crisps fight for the crowded snack aisle. Qurut Bites lives one shelf over — beside the marinated feta and herbed cheese balls — where heritage and story are the differentiators, not price.

Specialty cheese & grazing board

The category tailwinds are real: GLP-1 demand for high-satiety protein is at a multi-year peak, and the grazing-board trend has already normalized premium bite-size dairy. "Ancient food" positioning — kefir, skyr, tahini — has repeatedly opened U.S. retail to unfamiliar dairy.

We're the next chapter of that story.

The Occasion

Made for the board.

Bite-size, no knife, no crumble. Qurut Bites drops straight onto a grazing board beside olives, figs, and cured meats — a multi-flavor pack with a pairing guide built to lift the whole spread.

Why People Reach For It

Protein you actually want to snack on.

No bar aftertaste, no powder. Just real dried dairy in a format that fits the way people eat now — between meetings, after a workout, or across a board with friends.

Draft product targets shown for illustration — final nutrition to be confirmed at recipe validation and co-packer specification.
